As for Oberyn & Quentyn, your explanation makes sense. It's kind of been taken for granted that Quentyn didn't get along w/ him, but it's definitely not a given. I'm really curious to see if Quentyn will give us any insight on this issue in ADwD.
I don't think Quentyn will die, at least not in ADwD. He's gonna be a full POV, not just a mini one. Since this is the first book he appears in, I just can't see him dying. What would be the point of his POV? Yeah Ned died after 1 book, but he was tremendously important to the plot. And I don't believe for one minute that Brienne is dead.
Also, GRRM made a comment to a fan that Martell fans would be "very pleased w/ upcoming events." That leads me to think that no Martells are gonna die, for a while anyway. I ship Dany/Quentyn, so I'm hoping for a marriage!

Hm, that post makes me actually believe that some focus will be given the Sand Snakes and that *they* will get what they won't. Since that means Doran Martell *not* getting what he wants I am no longer optimistic...
