i hate to only go on livejournal to complain about my weight but ive been exercising nonstop almost everyday for a couple weeks and before that i would exercise 3 times a week for a couple months and ive gained 3 pounds. i'm pissed, ya ya it could be muscle- whatever but im 155 pounds and none of my clothes fit and i just want to fit into my ( Read more... )

Honestly, Brandy... Starvation is the only way to lose weight. It sucks. I ate 1400 calories yesterday, and the day before I ate 1300 and walked 5 miles. And the day before that I ate 1500 and ran two miles. And I'm down 5 lbs. All I've eaten today is an orange and pretzels and some apple juice. I guarantee when I step on the scale tomorrow it's going to say I lost a pound or two.

Eat 1200 calories with moderate exercise for one month and you will lose 15 lbs. It worked for me. But I was/am hungry all the time.

thats the same thing my mom told me haha. she was like you just need to eat hardly anything to give your body a jump start. i'm gunna go for 1400 with an hour of yoga 5 times a week. i'm basing this off what sonya did because she's a stick now.

whatevers brandy. i love your womanly body. i understand where you're coming from when you say your clothes dont fit though. mine were barely hanging on my a thread like 5 months ago so do what you gotta do, but i honestly think you look beautiful.
i guess my best advice for weight loss is either get into a relationship, fall in love, and get dumped, or go buy a juicer and drink an apple/pear/celery/grape juice every morning. it'll clean you out so your body is burning the excess. i mean, you took the nutrition classes so i know you know that you gotta do small meals throughout the day to keep your metabolism burning all the time as well. dont eat when you're not hungry. eat when you are too, but dont wait until the last second when you're dying of hunger because you'll binge.

oh yeah, and take up smoking 0:)

also, im pretty sure healthy choice meals top out at like 310 calories and they're really not bad at all. the herb chicken meal is 270 calories and has 17 grams of protein. jus sayin.

juice. eat green foods. once your body is getting nutrition from raw living foods, you won't be hungry. you'll be getting what you need and your body will be able to work properly and burn off anything extra. if you are starving and eat pizza or something, you'll be hungry again in an hour and be all bummed because you want more pizza, but that's just your body saying "feed me something that will give me energy so i can get stoked on running around and burning it all up!" it's super simple, the body is not complicated at all

okay, ill try more juice. what about like carrot juice from a smoothie place? do you only eat raw foods now? i don't think i'll ever be able to get to that point

i'm definitely not 100% raw, but i've gone raw for a couple of weeks at a time and never felt better. seriously it's like you turn into a superhuman. you need less sleep, you're barely hungry, and you're hella stoked 24/7! it's rad but definitely a commitment. try the juice first, i really like romaine lettuce (1 full head), a handful of spinach and about 6 or 7 carrots juiced up... it tastes a lot like chocolate milk, for real. so good! but the best things for you are dark leafy greens (kale, chard) made yummy with a sweet fruit like an apple or pear, plus some ginger... yummm. try not to juice only fruit since it's a lot of sugar to go straight into your bloodstream at once without any fiber to help slow it down, so you'd probably crash soon after, whereas veggie juice keeps you going all day feeling awesome.
