Listening to NPR really does pay off in a lot of ways. A few weeks ago we listened to their ted talk recaps and heard about the guy who cteayed captchas and his newer prohect of tryong to get the entire internet translated into alll languages through a program that could also teach people the languages too. given my constant need and bane to learn ( Read more... ) -

Got the girls to go down relatively easy tonight and Ashley has been passed out for a few hrs now thanks to the meds she got to deal with the illness she's had for the last month. Now that I've posted again, there is the urge for more but there is also a curiosity about the connections I used to have via LJ. I think I used to get email notices when friends posted and I wonder if any of them still get notices? Or has three years of absence been enough to silent those alerts?

Overdue
I couldn't remember the last time I put electronic pen to web-based blog but the quick perusal of old posts tells me it has been nearly 3 years. Hard to believe given how important LJ was for me. It has been about 3 weeks since Millie got out of the house and went missing, and it pains me to accept that I will likely never see her again. I notified the microchip company when she went missing, walked the neighborhood numerous times looking/calling for her and posted lost flyers, as well as posts on Craigslist. I had planned to pen some thoughts upon the topic of my recent foray into attempted home ownership but Kenna is upstairs scratching the walls next to her crib as her way of fighting sleep and it is VERY distracting! Baby crack
The other day I was a little annoyed that Netflix didn't have Yo Gabba Gabba available for instant view because it seems the girls are mesmerized by the show and will keep quiet for a while if it's on.
