After 24 hours with juniper berries only, the bathtub gin very definitely tastes of gin.  If you had handed it to me and said it was cheap gin, I think I would have beleived you.  I added a ton of other botanicals:  bay leaf, allspice, lemon peel, pepper.    It should be ready by the end of the day.  The powdered allspice made it murky, so I may ( Read more... )

Morning.  Slept on J’s couch.   J slept late.  I am waiting for him to wake up, working on my computer on the dining room table.  He wakes up and grumbles,  “get your stuff off the table.

He then putters around and puts two bowels of granola on the table.   He continues to putter.   I go to the fridge and put milk on my granola.
