I guess you'll just have to be a free spirit MORE so that people dont think its out of character for you to be unreachable for a day. Seems to be the best solution.
I'm a fourth generation worrier. DH is 10 mins late though the door and I'm already running though the worst possible senarios in the back of my mind. I fully expect to need sedation the first time Kate stays overnight at a friends house. As such, I can understand how such panic starts and how contagious it can be. But in my experience people only worry about the people they care about the most. I'd take it as a complement. Hope you enjoyed your day off though.
It's good to hear you're home - despite any bubbles it may burst, people tend to worry when friends of theirs drop off the face of the earth and become completely unreachable. Especially when those friends are characteristically so "plugged in".
hey Tel, I got your message. It's not directed at close friends like you and Jo, It's to be expected you guys would come looking for me. it was the large number of messages I received from people who usually don't give a rat's ass about my existance or never keep in touch with me on a regular basis who suddenly "cared" about me. That's whom this rant was directed at.
As usual, thanks for taking concern in my wellbeing though :)
I'm ok, just an idiot for not coming back for my phone >_
Hey man, like I said - at the end of the day, we're just glad that it was *only* a trip to London and a forgotton phone, and not a frustrated-runaway-doc-emo-spree.
I hope you can understand why everyone was worried though - the calls that were going out were "he was here last night, said we'd see him in the morning...and now him and the laptop are gone, his cell is ringing in his room, and not a soul that we've contacted has any idea where he's gone or had seen him leave, including his family."

Rather over-react than under-react.
