With very little additional encouragement I could really learn to hate Halloween. I can't think of another day on my calendar that there is so much build up to that most year somehow lets me down. Kate doesn't like to sleep in her room because she thinks she'll have bad dreams there. Anyone have a bright idea on how to "scare" the bad dreams out of her room?

It's funny, I didn't realize how much Kate was manipulating me into letting her get away with crap, until I watch her pulling the same stunts with Andy, only it' isn't working with him. I guess I'm going to have to start taking a stronger stance.

So I'm feeling a little trapped lately. First the strike meant that Kate is home with me all day instead at all day camp. Now my car is busted so we can't even go out as we normally would. Bah!

I've been reading a couple of bento blogs and also a community here on lj since I took an interest in them. One thing I've seen several times is a post that reads something like "I really want to get into bentos but I'm waiting on all the stuff I ordered from Ebay to arrive" This seems ass backwards to me.
