Here are cynical Kirsten's thoughts; cynical bc that's the way you like it and I have a shit load of work to do and too many people want my time: short and concise
True love is a farce.
Love = Hockey.
Like = Football.
Therefore being in love = playing hockey.
Thank you. Perhaps I will visit again later with better thoughts, but I think these are pretty DAMN good!!!
well-- that's an interesting concept, and you've hit some very good point. my thoughts, which i'll share, welcome or not (hee! ^^;):
1) i have been in love, head over heels in love, with one person. and it was amazing. and i still am, i suppose, even though the relationship is over.
2) "love" is bandied about too much --in a romantic setting. someone put it best when they said that there were three kinds: eros, filios, and agape. eros, to me, fits that "strong attraction".. filios is what you and i share, and agape is what i'm looking for-- love involving the soul, i suppose, is the best way to explain that.

here's my take on love, cause like you said, everyone sees love different... and I think that's absolutely true.
I think being "in love" is when it hurts and make you crazy and makes you start acting like you swear you'd never act becaust it's always bothered you about other people. I make it sound like a bad thing... but you know it's a good way of knowing how strong your feelings are.
But then I think with some people that stops eventually and you hit a point where you love someone the same as you love your Mom or your Dad... that great wonderful understanding love. And you know, that might not always be the romantic sense of love, but I mean... you can't be more in love with someone then that.
