I haven't posting to here since August because I've been kinda busy. FIRST it was job hunting and although I got a few nibbles AND found a part-time gig for 2 weeks in October I am STILL looking for something that isn't retail. LOTS of Travel!
On Thursday EARLY I'm off to Corpus Christie for the Texas State Democratic Convention. I'll be driving down with 2 other Democrats who will be my roommates for the weekend. I got published!
My second novel is out! YAY! It got reviewed on Examiner.com and is soon to be in stores. Right now it's on Amazon.com and all the bookstore websites (like Borders.com and BarnesandNoble.com, etc.) but Amazon has it for the best price :D The book is called Colonel McNeil's Daughter and it took 2 YEARS from day editor got it to day it hit the ( Read more... ) -
Update on my life
Happy Cinco de Mayo everyone! I've been working every day for the past 10 days for the Tarrant County Board of Elections as a Lead Election Clerk. Lots of hours packed into those 10 days - If I total up all I did it'll be like 100 hours divided up over the 2 weeks I worked and a chunk of them were OVERTIME!! Being unemployed sucks!
My resume is everywhere I can shove it online and I'm with 2 employment agencies and will add some more local ones to the list after Easter but still haven't been able to find anything since I finished working for the primary election. Doll Meet
I went to a doll meet at an INDOOR Sonic today! Didn't know the fast food place known for AWESOME onion rings and nice carhops had a sit down place run like Whataburger! It was a neat experience. MLK Day
Today I marched with the Tarrant County Democrats in the Fort Worth Martin Luther King Jr. Day parade. Lots of fun - perfect weather - and got to do a little networking while my feet pounded the pavement!
