How quickly you forget, Captain Basch fon Ronsenburg. It has not been so long since we met in Archades; or is the memory of your time in Draklor so fleeting?
You must not be keeping a strong watch on your princess, Knight of Dalmasca, if you do not know of the Sun Cryst.
Or perhaps there is another who wears your face. It certainly would not be the first time for such a thing to happen, am I right?

You are certainly mad. You speak of things that have never happened.
I have never stepped foot in Archades, nor Draklor. My memory is sharp enough to know that much.
... you would speak of Gabranth... from what you have said I can only fathom you are Draklor's own Doctor Cidolfus. I can assure you, we have not had the pleasure of meeting in person. Not yet.

Indeed, though it has been quite a while since I have been called by my full name. Doctor Cid is what I am known by now - then, I suppose you would hear little of such things, during those long years in Nalbina.
Your brother bears not the scar on his brow, as you do, good Captain; surely you do not expect me to believe that the man who entered Draklor was one other than you? Along with the Princess Ashelia, you were led into the heart of Archades by my son - who is little more than a good for nothing sky pirate now.
It is a form of magicite, created by the Occuria. Quite a powerful trinket, when used properly. Unfortunately, Deifacted Nethicite is hard to come by - its shards are given only to those selected by Occuria themselves, the last known to be the Dynast King. I have acquired two of the three over time, however, they are unstable... and useless, once their power is expended.
Of course, its power is nothing in comparison to Manufacted Nethicite. It is the triumph of man, his finest accomplishment! With the careful guidance of Venat, I have perfected the stone, making it so much more than its predecessor! Far more reliable, it is a worth tool to be wielded by the Empire, as the reins of history are returned to the rightful hands of man!

You're in Discedo right now.

Discedo, you say? I have not heard of such a place.

The Sun Cryst? Occuria?
You are clearly of Ivalice... but you speak of things that make no sense.

'Sun Cryst'?

As this 'Discedo' is not a part of Ivalice, the Sun Cryst would be foreign to you. Though tell me - do you know anything of Nethicite?
