My Brain screens it TBH. I don't even see the event ads.

I actively complained when I was getting 4 adverts, all the same, from 4 different places, once sometimes twice a week.

Pertinent times is fine. ALL the time is just irritating.

I too get fed up with it at times. Don't mind it being in one place - even with regular reminders, but when it's on every larp related group going it gets a bit much. It wouldn't stop me going to an event I wanted to go to (and had likely already booked by the time advertising got silly), but it certainly wouldn't encourage me to go to one I wasn't already planning on.
I do understand the push to get bookings - I hate to see events having to cancel due to lack of numbers. And I can skim over and ignore them fairly easily so it doesn't anger me as such, but I do agree with "Less is more". I could happily see less of it.

Probably.

Though, to be fair, I find spam to be eminnently forgettable, so I likely get less annoyed about it than your average Bren.

see for me I complained about it to the people involved already. I explained why it was annoyed on FB, others joined in and said their piece as well. It seems that it was ignored. If you want to drum up interest for an event do so im fine with that. Theres a line where it hits into irritation and its been crossed so many times and ignored when people say so.
