a general update -- does anyone still read this thing?

Marissa came and went, it was WONDERFUL to have her here! we didn't do anything particularly exciting in terms of tourism, rather just hung out at the shop and in our neighborhood. it felt completely natural to have her by my side here. I still read this thing.

I was talking to Alex Corby (remember him? Vassar '06? Monkey?) And he's going to Peru this coming fall or winter... He said he'll be in Lima and I forget where else. I said he should try to meet up with you!

I want to go to another place.

it totally happened. aww. i miss you!! shanah tovah!! I made honeycake here and the smell wafting from the oven made me so nostalgic.
i recommend this recipe: http://smittenkitchen.com/2008/09/majestic-and-moist-honey-cake/ (you can replace oil with finely grated apple or applesauce)
