I know it's pretty shameful that I've never read Berserk but come on that's like you've never read One Piece and now have to catch up to around the Water 7 arc. By the way if that's actually the case, get out of my sight.
Anyways I've been taking some notes while reading. It's kind of like a Let's Read: (
Here we go! )

But alright, since you REALLY WANNA KNOW: It's impressive to know that Miura is pulling off all this detailed work without assistants, especially with the art getting better and better over the time. I don't think any of the characters so far are particularly likeable (except for comic relief Puck HUH) and I'm mostly just waiting till A: cute magician girl makes her first appearance or B: the EPIC engine starts kicking in. The flashback with the Band of the Hawks was a real chore in that regard, but I guess that also gives Miura more credit for the scope he's had since the beginning. Reading Berserk now made me realise how this manga inspired other works like Vinland Saga or Final Fantasy Tactics, and I acknowledge that Berserk is really really good.
