Hottest 100 - Of All Time

It was a long time ago, when I first launched a diatribe about Australian Music after 2005's (!) "Triple J's Hottest 100".

This year, as well as the Hottest 100 around Australia Day, Triple J decided to do a Hottest 100 of all time. Up til now. Not after now. Just up to... now. Cause we don't know about the future yet. And not before music was ( Read more... )

I actually forgot, apparently several times to vote. Looking at the list as you say there is typical mix of the understated and the mystifying, as with any list, on any subject based on popular vote (re: what is the relevance of the Logies, and more particularly their voters ( ... )

I think you're onto something when you question the number of votes. There seems to be some serious skewing of the statistics in that list.

I didn't even know it was happening, admittedly. I turned the radio on late on Sunday and heard BoRap on Triple J and wondered what the hell was going on!

I think on the whole I pretty much agree with you. Plenty of crap in there, especially near the top. Jeff Buckley had what, one album before he was found floating in a river? His is a very obvious case of death making him far more than he ever was when he was alive ( ... )
