Retrofitting an Amiga 1200 with cool stuff

Some of you older readers will remember the Amiga (and my current Avatar) from the early 1990s.
The Plan: I'm gonna resurrect my Amiga 1200 (last manufactured in 1996) with some new technology from this century.

My dad still has an amiga in his cellar - in its original packaging *lol* He was a bit of a fan ^^

The Amiga was a great computer! - It was about 10 years ahead of what PCs and Apple Macs could do.
Shame it died out soon after Commodore went bankrupt. :-(
There's still a good Amiga scene in Germany, but alas, all their websites and magazines are in German. D'oh!
Some body wrote book called "On The Edge: The Spectacular Rise and Fall of Commodore". Various Internet forums say it is worth reading.

The new part arrived today! I should be attempting the procedure in the next few weeks!

Ahhh so this is what you want the bits from the old computer for! Come round and have a rummage if you want, it's just sat there on the landing. In fact we have so many old computer parts there might be other stuff going begging, but better off asking David I think! xx

Yay! I hope he does have some EDO RAM. All I managed to find was SD-RAM which is two new... I reckon a computer running 95 ought to have some with it.

We have an old '95 computer which doesn't work anymore.... but as I say, better ask David since it's not mine (well actually its my dads) but as far as I know its just waiting to be taken to the tip
