So I had a couple of weekends of driving school. (My family didn't have a car when I was growing up... My parents walked to work, and I do now, and I've always lived near decent public transit so I haven't bothered to get a license before now) Our teacher was originally from the Czech Republic, and is a pretty goofy guy. With his accent, I guess

flow of traffic is FUN

When I was taking drivers ed at a private course, they had a switch to disable the speedometer on the driver's side. When we got on the highway they'd flip it off and do the whole 'speed of traffic' thing

Your numbers are weird since we use metric. :) The highway speed limit here is 100km/h (62mi/h) though of course people do 110 or 120. "If you going 70 on highway, you gonna get squished like a bug!"

I think the teacher did hit a cyclist once, who tried to pass on the right. Supposedly he keeps that booklet in his glove compartment for just such occasions. He opened to the page about the law, and mimed kicking the cyclist in the ribs while telling him he was missing lights on his bike, etc. XD
