Wants and Needs
About 10 years ago, i told my uncle "i don't need anything". I think about this sort of thing all the time. What does anyone need to live and be happy? Shelter and food and maybe love if you're into that. I've met people with nearly nothing - people out on the road going from place to place and they were some of the happiest people i've ever met. So after years of fearing that it would finally happen it has: i went to turn off my phone and dropped it into the goddamn toilet. I grabbed it out right away and now it's drying - if this samsung one is anything like the old Nokia that i had, then once it dries it will be back to normal.

It is balls to the wall cold here. More snow on the ground than you can imagine. Roving gangs of snowmobile riders lurk around every bend waiting to prey upon the unwary traveler. So, i've been here for about a week and a half, small town, small life. I have been sleeping on a space on the floor that i cleaned out in my old room surrounded by boxes of stuff, mostly boxes of clothes, chairs, and some of my stuff boxed and stacked above me.
