This is just fabulous. I love Anne and Gilbert and their dynamic and you've captured everything! Josie Pye's irritating little quirks and Anne's tone of voice SO WELL. That paragraph about wanting to be like Marilla for the first time ever? LOVED, and so so in character. It's amazing how well you write them.

Anne is already well past thirteen and she hasn’t managed much at all besides falling from a roof and letting a mouse into the pudding. Anne Shirley has no Juliet Capuletlike knack for making her troubles beautiful, that’s for sure.

I think that's my favorite sentence/part of the whole bit. It's just very true to form. It was very hard to pick one.

More Anne/Gilbert from you, if you please! With kissing, maybe? :D

Ahaha, what a splendid notion! A novel-length -- nay, tome-length -- volume of Anne and Gil deleted scenes!! I feel like I could contribute nothing more important to the world. Especially because LMM was always so ~stealthy~ and somehow managed to deprive of us of like 90% of the sappy stuff.

SHE WAS SO STINGY. THEY HAD PORN BACK THEN, LMM, OKAY? Like Book 4, where it's engaged Anne and Gilbert writing letters back and forth and they're talking about their LIVES? Pssh, you know those letters were all about how they wanted to get it on.
