Eee, this was ADORABLE.

He thinks that just because he’s charming she ought to let herself be charmed. She most certainly will not. Some offenses quite simply can’t be forgiven. As foolish as grudges seem when the Capulets and the Montagues are holding them, some are forever justified. Carrots.

Question: if you were to link to a fic about Anne, which community would you post it in? There needs to be more Anne/Gil fic in the world. D:

I absolutely adored this. Something about the series (the first three books) and the movie has me beaming like a silly person throughout, and you've nailed the tone, considering how big the grin on my face is right now. (I'm thinking about how Gil volunteered after Anne did, askdljalskdasd!) This felt natural, funny, sweet, and very much in-character (Anne in particular: I love her channeling Marilla's calm, and how easy it is for her to imagine herself as Juliet, in another place, with a different person), and I'm pretty sure I love you for it.

Oh, wow. This was FABULOUS. You have the tone of the books so perfectly, down to Miss Stacy's voice, and then Anne and Gilbert and SHAKESPEARE. Oh, my heart! Lovely. :)
