I absolutely adored this. Something about the series (the first three books) and the movie has me beaming like a silly person throughout, and you've nailed the tone, considering how big the grin on my face is right now. (I'm thinking about how Gil volunteered after Anne did, askdljalskdasd!) This felt natural, funny, sweet, and very much in-character (Anne in particular: I love her channeling Marilla's calm, and how easy it is for her to imagine herself as Juliet, in another place, with a different person), and I'm pretty sure I love you for it.
