My name is Violante, and I am a compulsive last minute project doer.

Today I am teleworking, and in the back of my mind is this nagging thought that I am taking my not-so-wee-anymore-babes to Storvik Novice Saturday, but MT#1 has no shoes to wear.  So a good chunk of my day Friday will be sent schlepping her slower-than-molasses-in-the-Arctic butt ( Read more... )

Having made three new periodesque middle-eastern outfits the night before getting on a plane to go to a weekend-long event in Caid, I so understand this. :)

I would say welcome to the club, but you may have been here longer than I have... :)

I *love* your userpic because that's exactly what I'm going through. Where's my "this"? Where's the "that"? I *know* we bought blah last year when we were planning to do this and we never actually did it so it's got to be around here somewhere.

I have a feeling we could be a bad influence on you... or you on us! ;-)

Need any shoe supplies? I've got leather, an awl, sinew... *grin*

Don't have a skiving knife, but I have a friend I can usually borrow from. He's got all my leather stamping tools. ;)

I can't take credit on the icon, margoeve made it and I lifted it off her. But it's soooooooo appropriate! :)

I have everything I need... so far. I'm even going to quickly weave up some laces for her. I've developed a design she's happy with too. Which is funny, she's such a fashion diva. :-\

Any chance you'll be there? I'd love to show off. :-D

Exactly my plan. There's no way I can actually get it done in time, but at least I can have the first row of towers done. (It's heraldic!)

It's also my first time doing "Fair Isle" (not sure what it would have been called medievally) and it's been an interesting learning process!
