What a bizarre icon

I totally just bought a print from the series "Dogs Playing Poker" on ebay, in order to give my apartment the additional touch of class that it needs. The one I really want though is, by the same artist, dogs engaged in Masonic ritual. When I become rich and famous (or at least financially stable and out of ill-repute), I'm going to have you decorate my abode. You have excellent taste.

Yeah! My decorating ideas have been described as "petty bourgeois" (like 19th century petty bourgeois). I used to be into more embarassing things like the singing fish and lawn flamingoes, but I have matured since then, ripened. Best part is, I think most of the things I like don't really require financial stability, just the bold vision to put, for instance, a chair looking much like the one in this painting (another Cassius Coolidge great), that one has found by the side of the road, in the center of one's living room. The best book ever for decorating inspiration is Class: a Guide Through The American Status System, it has illustrations including one of a of a lower-class living room done up with unicorn motif!
