An update on my life

A cat in heat is a deeply problematic thing. Just as something that is fundamentally attractive can gain even more attractiveness by possessing a component of the repellent (e.g. sexy girls or young men that are so languid that they look almost dead), so can something that is fundamentally unattractive (e.g. a creature of a different species trying ( Read more... )

Not to be a bad/negative commenter, but:

- I don't personally think languidness makes anything more attractive, but that may be just me.

- Conceivably someone could find cats in heat sexually appealing (I don't, but I imagine some do.)

So I think this entry is kind of 'taking my reactions to these things and calling them universal' or something.

Well, uh, yes. This is entry definitely an example of that. I did not try to disguise this: I was, after all, talking about something as obviously subjective as attractiveness. Talking about personal feelings like they were universal is both humorous and enjoyable (yes, to me ( ... )

is this maximilian you speak of (is he, uh, still around? I've sadly lost track)--and does this mean you are around los altos--or is this a different black cat of which you speak?

Male cats do not enter "heat" as far as I know. No, this is a fucked up, sexually functional Brooklyn cat belonging to one of my roommates.

I've been an eyelash away from "helping" cat's in heat. I think my friend Bob fucked one of my cats with his car key to calm her down.

Calm her down, or induce a nasty infection/lacerations?

You stay away from that Bob boy; he's no good.

Actually, I tend to find it irritating. That's kind of a stock answer, but it's because it reminds me of a guy 'in heat' [so to speak] hitting on me incessantly when I've already said no and would like to move on. (This is directly referring to Gabe, a good friend of mine with an overwhelming tendency to be overbearing with his metaphorical dick.)
