It looks like I wrote some kind of terrible exegesis of slash fiction. It's down in the comments. Possibly amberite might be interested in what prompted all this, although perhaps this individual might find it too juvenile or "ignorant of the history of slash fiction" (as someone has, bizarrely, claimed). I, too, am ignorant of the history of slash fiction. Except that I remember that it used to be called lemon fiction, like 10 years ago.

Oh? Elaborate. From what I remember, erotic fanfiction previous to around 2000 were called lemons, and after that they were called slash. I didn't really read enough of either to notice much of a difference.

Would a story about Queen Victoria keeping a brood of hemophiliac offspring chained in a secret chamber in order to examine their bodies fortnightly and maybe sometimes suck their blood or rim them be accepted into this contest? Cuz I already got one.

I will examine the rules.
