Oh wow, that is much suckage. I thought only the glamour girl mags had those wretched perfume things in them.

Seconded! Definitely much suckage! I've had a lot of friends with bad allergies who have had similar reactions to magazines.

I hope you're feeling better soon, DH.

I recovered reasonably quickly.

I'm surprised no lawsuits have been brought against companies placing perfume in their magazines.

That's an interesting comment. I suppose that if someone were to die from shock that the magazine and/or advertiser could be guilty of some form of contributory negligence. Otherwise, I'm not sure what you could get them for.

I used to fan received magazines over the trash can to get rid of all the inserts, but that wouldn't do anything for the ones that are bound-in to the magazine.

This was the first month I'd seen it in there. Otherwise I wouldn't have bothered with renewing my subscription.

Sorry to hear it, dear. It really sucks that they're not being consistent with their stated purpose and mission....and that it means you can't get with the information they present anymore.

*hugs*

They may have an unscented option available, but I didn't ask, because I don't care to support the hypocrisy of a magazine touting itself as "natural" and "healthy" living, while at the same time selling ad space to something as unnatural as perfume.

I can see that quite easily....and agree with it.
