There's been one emotion that keeps turning up in my life over & over again lately, & that emotion is disbelief. It isn't the kind of disbelief that's tinged along its edges with sarcasm or outrage, but the early stages of a real genuine, Talking Heads' "Once in a Lifetime"-style internal dialogue. It's big & it's beautiful & it is swirling around

in two days, i'm having the same sort of one year anniversary with a boy i met, moved in with, whose family i have met, and who has taught me many strange and interesting things about myself and life. your story is much more well written than mine would be and with way better pictures, and is of course entirely unique and crazy and lovely beyond all reason. :-)

but most of all, your story is inspiring. it is hope for the flowers, even hope to me that my story can become this way if i take a deep breath and fall even farther. i'm glad you were a kiss stealer, a music snob, and incredibly patient in all the years prior to this one - all these things let you and e find each other. love it.
