I really get your frustration, and it was super hard to be on the "authority" end of things because I see awesome girls like you feeling totally restricted when you know you're in good control of your life.
To be fair, though, I think I gotta point out that the rules have gotten stricter in a lot of ways rather than looser, and that's because certain "bad" girls who don't make good decisions bent them until they snapped. When really bad things happen sometimes, like people almost dying, the dorms have to make really awful rules so that those things are less likely to happen, or, from a legal standpoint, the dorm isn't to blame when they do...
Still, the system really sucks and I wish there were a "good" girls' dorm and a "bad" girls' dorm so you wouldn't have to feel so trapped.
