Love it! And I can only imagine how hard it probably would be to find the right house to satisfy Sherlock.

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it! And yes, I think finding anything to meet Sherlock's exacting standards would be very hard.

Retirement fics always make me tear up a bit (if not downright turning me into a sobbing mess) and this one wasn't an exception: you should have seen me, teary eyed and laughing like an idiot at the same time, I looked ridiculous! XD

And by all that I mean: this fic is beautiful, hilarious and sweet and lovely and beautiful. I mem'd it, of course, how could I not!

I know what you mean, there is always something so sad about the boys retiring - even if they are happy to/in their retirement. I like to think that once they've built their house in Sussex they'll do what John promises, build new memories and be just has happy as they were in Baker street, with the bees and Gladstone and Sunday roasts in the village pub.

And that's me waffling a bit there, but I'm really glad you enjoyed it and that I managed to make you laugh as well as cry, because this was supposed to be happy, if a little wistful at the end! Thank you for the mem!

*Sniffle*... This made me so happy I could cry. It was so perfectly them, Sherlock still driving people batty and John being quietly Johnish.

That was adorable, and also hilarious. I kind of admire Carol by the end, too. *G*

I think everyone should admire Carol, not just for putting with Sherlock for a year but for winning too! ;)

Glad you enjoyed the story!
