I dood it

Well my first attempt at NaNoWrimo, or NoNoWino as I call it was a smashing, if not exhausting success. I finished my first attempt at a rough draft of a 50,000 word story around 10 am on the last day of the month. I even took a fancy picture of myself looking smart http://www.myspace.com/ ( Read more... )

Anyway, I've completed the five goals I set for myself for 2006

Go you! That totally rocks! I am so impressed.

Yeah, the whole goal thing is fun for me now. I actually look forward to setting new ones each year, I get a rush off completing them. Is it great or bad? I'm completely turning into my father. Can't go anywhere without my Daytimer. The old car he gave me still has KDFC punched in and I listen to it every day. What's next? Please tell me it's not Dockers pants.

I am so with you on the whole - if you want something done, ask someone who's busy - thing.

When we are busy with quality things we have less time to feel sorry for ourselves, which is what happens when there is too much time to delve into our psyche. I'm not saying that self - examination is a bad thing, but I think that there is definitely got to be a stopping point where you go, OKAY. Enough of that. Let's get on with things.

The only other alternative is to kill yourself, because if you think too much about it, you just sink down in and it's hard to get out of that pit.

Are you going to be sharing your writing?

Huh, that's weird - I thought I responded to this post. Someone somewhere else is probably staring at a really strange non-sequitor right now. Anyway, yeah, it seems like people are either "off" or "on" or maybe that's just a characteristic of the sissy binge and purge addicitve personality, I know I''m that way. I prefer being "on" and getting things done and making up for lost time in life.

Nah. They actally have all these localized parties and celebrations after NaNoWriMo where people get together in coffee houses and read exerpts from their stuff aloud. Can you imagine anything more horrifying? I'd probably jump out a window or immediately go lay down in traffic. There are a lot of lonely people in the world I guess.

Ha! Absolutely not. But thank you. I only mentioned it in fact because it said to do so as a kind of catalyst in the guide manual. I feel like I'm really crossing the line of self-indulgence by even going into that stuff.

Yep! That was the night. They also had this one episode of just Clinton, with no Stacey. It made me worry - I hope there's no in-house fighting between those two! Shit. There's one more thing to worry about.
