The Zen of Rob's Kitchen

Jan 18, 2007 22:48

Tonight I busted out the Ajax and scoured my kitchen sink back to its original glistening white glory of several months ago. After that I hit the blue and peach tile with a bottle Tilex. The new brushed-steel Cuisinart programable is now loaded up with Dark French Roast and a fresh box of Trader Joe's Muesli cereal is waiting on top of the fridge ( Read more... )

Well as everyone knows, there are two types of people: clutter freaks and clean freaks. I fall into the latter. I used to fall into the ladder, but that was when I'd been drinking too much. It feels pretty good to have your own pad is I guess all I was sayin'..

yeah I'm a weird mixture of both. Though this weekend I'll be throwing out a ton of stuff since I'll be moving. I find that moving is a good way to declutter merely because I hate packing even more.

Have a garage sale homey! I like the lazin' around part and snapping at small children for touching my coveted Ronco family heirlooms..

I'm a clutter freak who longs to be a clean freak.

I think I am genetically unable to keep a tidy house. I'm so overwhelmed by housework.

For me I think some of it comes from livig with a sister who, in the 1970's, was continually depressed and dysfuncitional and had mounds of dirty laundry and a generally depressed state of affairs. Half the reason I moved to San Francisco and like KDFC now or watch the evening news is out of reaction to being horrifically depressed living with my sister for so many years.

Well, I'm about as square as they come and my place is really messy...I don't think that caring about your domicile makes you inherently a square...I'm a square and proud of it....the funny thing about squares is they can't tell another square if they bumped into them in the street....so enjoy your cereal and tidy home.....looking forward to seeing you in a couple of weeks.....what should we do when we hook up??? I was thinking another trip to Angelo's would be nice, but it's a long way to drive just for that....I keep fearing I'll bump into my ex-girlfriend if we mosey around San Rafael.....I've googled her name and the only thing I come up with is a girl by the name of Erica living in San Rafael with young kids.....seems like it might be her....I remember when we went to Frontier Village about 15 years ago to check out what happened to it....might be worth checking out again.....but then again, the thought of new townhouses being placed where the little duck pond used to be gets me down.....what are your thoughts???

Naw, I don't actally feel that way. I was just being facetious. Er, I don't know -- why don't we just wing it? If it's easier for me to meet you halfway in San Jose or something, that's cool too. There are always plenty of movies I want to see too, if that grabs you. Looking forward to it too John--

You've been hanging out with Hamilton from Ridgemnont. Is that a fancy cleaning solution? I'll look for it at my grocer's, thanks Echo!
