My mother was making a turkey and walnut salad in a balsamic dressing with cranberries. I was very agitated because I'd already had plans. Five minutes before ( Read more... )

Wow, interesting dream. I wonder what it all means?

I've actually stayed at a Motel Six in Lost Hills. The novelty of the name of the 'town' saw me through the night.

Congratulations on your big date. That's awesome.

I vacationed in Lost Hills for ten straight years at Motel Six with a friend of mine from 1990-2000. It was pretty much beer and tv with a few trips to the Denny's and shopping for truckstop souveniers.. it was debauchery but it was white trash fun too.. looking back it was quite the GenX thing to do for ten years, althought that never occurred to us at the time..

Hey, Robley. I'm really proud of you for sticking with things. It took alot of courage to do what you've done and I couldn't be happier for you. I myself haven't drank in 3 months. I don't intend to ever drink again. I just don't have the stomach for the stuff anymore. Someday I suppose I'll quit smoking. One of the addiction counselors came into our group at the quack house and said you know you'll be ready to quit smoking when your ready to listen. Smoking is quite common in our groups. I just haven't realized I'm ready to quit cigarettes yet. I got a job working on a hotel. I don't really know what I'm doing but I'm having a good time even though it can be extremely difficult in the beginning. It's really true. I hope you have a good couple of days off. Good luck with your Dharma and creative writing.

your pal,

john
