Every time I think I've got this thing beat, it comes back with a ferocity. Life seems a lot better today. Guys, I'm trying--really, I am.

No body reaches out to me. Life is pretty empty. I don't understand what the point is anymore.

Things might be better today; I can't really tell. I think I'm just going to decide that they are, for the sake of sanity.

I regret to say that life lately has been pretty unbearable. Every day is a struggle with many issues, most of which I don't understand. I try to get through it by seeking solace with friends and by composing odd bits of maudlin poetry and by immersing myself in the old standby of academic obsession.
