I'm waiting on a call from the school psych to see if Eleanor will be attending Kindergarten this year. Why the hell am *I* nervous about this? It doesn't matter-either way she's going to have a great year! Maybe it's the not knowing. ARGH!

There are days when I wonder why I had children. Not many, but they do exist. Thank heavens for chocolate.

Freaking raccoons have eaten my peas, string beans, carrots and knocked down my corn. When they went for the blueberries they crossed the line. Anyone know where to dump a raccoon caught in a live trap? Because that little bastard is moving.

B has an ear infection. That explains the being awake all night, crankiness and wanting me all the time. Did you know that a child under two can get bacterial meningitis from an ear infection if the ear infection is bad enough? It's rare, but it does happen. That would really suck.

It's been so nice to have the windows open the last few days, and to go outside with the herd of children. We have been deliciously muddy all week. The garden is getting moved about, the dead butterfly bush stump has been removed, and the shrubbery out front has been trimmed back so that you can get in the front door. The Little Mermaid not only killed our damn DVD player, it also killed two wireless things to connect the new player to Netflix, our modem and the internets. Both of them. Fuck you, Disney. Last night we put B to bed without nursing her to sleep. She was horked off about the whole deal, but managed to self soothe pretty quickly~under 1/2 an hour each time with soothing every 10 minutes.
