So summer only has three weeks left, and what can I say? It's been pretty good. Lots of work, so lots of money. Managed to get out and see people at different times, maybe not as often as I would have liked, but enough. Went to a few good parties, had some good times with friends. Overall not a bad time.

So last friday we had a 7's rugby tournament. 7's rugby is basically rugby with just the backs, which means not the massively huge guys. Our team tied the first game, won the second to a team from New York state, but lost the third to Ashburry, and then the consolation game to Sir Robert Borden. So I got accepted at Carleton on Friday, with a $4 000 scholarship over 4 years, and an offer to their res. So I now have 2 out of 5 answers. I doubt that Waterloo will accept me, but I'm still holding out for Toronto ( Read more... )

After being sick for a week I finally went to the doctors yesterday, found out I had strepped throat. So I had to make a frantic phone call and ask if someone would cover my shift today. Also got some antibiotics to get rid of the strep throat. Unfortunately this is suppose to make me well just by Monday, meaning I'm sick in bed all weekend then ( Read more... )

The cross country ski race was yesterday, and I did ok. Came 32 out of 57. Eight minutes from first and 4.43 min from the top ten. Hope to improve that for the next race Monday, but this time is added on to that time for the overall ranking, so doubt I'll move to much in the standings overall. wow, the weather is shit so I can't train for my ski race next week. I predict a horrible outcome as I have only been out twice, and in those two times I found out that my shoulder is still slightly messed up. Anyway, exams have consumed this week. But I have also started practising my guitar again while taking brakes from studying, actually training for the cross-country ski race (I'm so out of shape), and thinking about what I'll be doing over the summer + next fall.
