“Two words, Jono. Class. Reunion .” Angelo smiled his most charming smile and spread his hands. “We call everyone up and descend on Jubilee like a plague of locusts for a weekend. We can tell the new kids about all the stupid stuff she used to do when she was their age.”
Jono cocked an eyebrow at his friend and teammate. What brought this on? he asked.
“I miss sunlight.” Angelo glared out the window of the mansion where Excalibur made its home. “All it ever does here is rain. Which is why we get the weirdest bad guys. Besides, weren’t you just moping about how Jubilee wasn’t there to see a watery tart chuck a sword at you?”
She didn’t chuck the sword and she’s not watery. And those weird guys aren’t going to put their plans on hold just so we can take a vacation. Jono said, though a touch of wistfulness crept into his voice.
“When did you turn into a responsible adult?” Angelo demanded.
I’m not-- ohgod. I am I am being the responsible one. Jono gave his friend a horrified look. When the hell did this happen?
Angelo draped an arm around Jono’s leather clad shoulders. “We should go see these kids. One of them’s stealing your look.”
Ange?
“Yeah?”
Lets get the band back together.
