“They don’t hate you,” Xi’an insisted.
“Could’ve fooled me.” Jono cradled his head in his hands. “And who was it who had the bright idea of having the advisors be the targets for today’s training session? I need to thank them with a boot up the arse.”
“It was fun, and you know it.”
“It was the most energy I’ve seen the kids put into this since I got them.”
“The important thing is that everyone learned something.”
“Yeah. Vale fights dirty and Borkowski kicks like a bloody mule.”
