“I swear to God,” Jono muttered, clutching Jubilee’s shoulder as his eyes darted around, “I saw my cousin a minute ago.”
“And this matters how?” Christian asked sourly, dropping strawberries into the basket dangling off Jono’s arm.
“Do the worlds ‘Apocalypse Worshiping Psycho’ not stroke the appropriate note with you?” Jono snapped back.
“Are you sure it’s Elizabeth or whatever?” Jubiless asked, patting Jono’s hand.
“Esme,” he corrected absently. “And yes, I’m sure. I’ve been seeing her all over the place all bloody week.”
“Paranoid,” Christian snorted just before Cessily standing with a dark haired woman in the frozen foods section.
