I am making chicken noodle soup in the slow cooker. It's probably too hot for this, but I have been feeling generally unwell for the past day or two, and I want chicken soup, so that's how it goes. I caught an organizing bug today, which led to me sorting through my purses. They were kind of a mess. I have a rack specifically for them, but some were there while others were hanging on my shoe rack and still others were pretty much wherever. I feel like I should have things to talk about, which I don't really. But I made kimchi and we had Korean tacos tonight, and they were so good, so that was awesome. And I got tomatillos and a bunch of peppers from the farmer's market today, so I'm making enchiladas verdes tomorrow, and that's going to be awesome also ( Read more... ) -

So, Lyle, Lyle Crocodile (The Musical!) was just on HBO Family, which is on in the background, and I totally recognized it within the first three seconds...despite having not seen it in over 20 years (or read the books in as long) and having totally forgotten about its existence.
I may or may not have worn out my VHS of it when I was seven.

I made candy the other day, and it did come out good. The marshmallow fluff with honey was decent, I think, but I don't really like honey much, so I'm probably not the best judge. I ate like five of the peanut butter ones and then felt guilty about it ( Read more... ) -

It's almost six in the morning. I haven't slept. I can't sleep. I'm not even sure if I want to sleep. I'd been doing well managing my insomnia/wacky sleep cycles for a while, but it's been slowly creeping up on me again. It's exhausting, funnily enough, to keep up on trying to get enough sleep. We picked up the puppies today. They are ridiculously adorable. And tiny. They're only five weeks old, apparently, and someone just dropped them at the shelter. I guess they're from Kentucky and spent all day in a car, so they were super excited to run around and play.
