Over in CSPC Uncensored, LionMaster posts that 'PC, Non-sexist, -ists - Way too much obsession out there for me!!!'.

While I grant that there is a certain appeal to being an asshole, and that everything has kink material, It's possible to be an asshole and not a bigot simultaneously. No really. And coming from members of an organization who have to ( Read more... )

Well, there's at least 30 people I know not to date. They call it being "un-PC". I call it "being an asshole".

Ed-Zachary!

Seriously, this really reads to me as a "I'd be rotten to date because...oh, and here are some more reasons... and here's how I'd likely react if you were to call me on anything, ever...."

Thanks for the heads up! I'll be over here.. waaaay, waaay over here.. :)

Seriously, they might as well have admitted to being a lousy tipper and unwilling to have sex for more than 30 seconds while they were at it.

Date, hell, I don't really want to even be playing in the same space as him. Given his stupidity, he'd be likely to walk into my back-swing.

Oh christ, another one of thees guys.

What guys?

There's this type I see floating around the poly world and I guess now it's obvious they're in the kink world too (although a lot of the poly ones seem to be into kink as well)

The MO is: Male, 50-70, claim to have been poly for 20+ years, let everyone know that they are doing it right so they've written books and/or run websites and/or taught classes or workshops or something else that establishes his "cred". They also will blather on endlessly about their sexual prowess and how they are the "polyest", "kinkiest", "wheteverest" and no woman can resit their skill and charm.

Ugh.

It's called generational shift. The folks in that generational group are far more likely to be so completely invested in old prejudices and stereotypes that they are basically a lost cause. See Prop 8 for an example. We don't understand why they can be that way because we literally grew up and live in a different world then they did, even though we live side by side. Some can be helped, but most need to be put in zoos for conservation purposes.

Note: I also know some old hippies his age who do get it. Different environments lead to different results.

I don't know too many hippies who get much, lol

But I don't think it's generational thing so much as an age thing. I've always chalked it up to a man who is either past or rapidly approaching the end of middle age trying to assert his desirability and dominance.

Um, not like i ever had to lock horns with one of these types a time or three.

Which is the sad part. I mean, fuck, maybe it was just the person who did my orientation, but there was a huge emphasis on bigotry will not be tolerated. And just damn.

Yeah, mine too. And it was bigotry in ALL forms. Which means no heterophobia. You want to be a member? You'll tolerate everyone and you'll like it!

A brilliant display of hypocrisy that could only come from a lifetime of practice. My favourite point was where he prefers "valuing individuality instead of finding out what's wrong with each other" in a complaint about what he feels is wrong with the group.

Which makes it all the more comedy gold that he started this thread about Sociopaths in the community. Perhaps he was checking to see if anyone was onto him.
