temporally off

I'm down to my last hour today. The week has dragged its feet. I've been feel unwell the last few days. Many thanks to "The Curse" - that's what the ladies around the office call it. I've noticed My Curse is particularly nasty but not nearly as nasty as Selena's or Sarah's. A few days before the deluge hits, I have a migraine. I might have one the ( Read more... )

My Curse has never been that bad. It alwys just makes me feel shitty cramp- and headache- wise for one day, but i take midol and try to not complain. before that happens though, i'm just (more?) pissy and difficult like a chestnut mare. i've never had a migraine though. that sucks.

re 10: are you talking about jambalaya? i don't mind it, but they're way slow with the service.

i usually feel fine when i have my period. maybe one major cramp when the deluge breaks but after that i'm okay. i'll get a headache but not a migraine. it seems like as i get older, it's getting more uncomfortable. i'll have a few migraines before or the day of and i'll get cramps. they're not usually that bad but once, a year ago, i had one where i felt like my body was being torn apart. on friday morning, i felt like my uterine was being rung dry. ugh.

yeah, jamalaya. the title dish was poor, especially for $15/entree. i'm glad warren and i had a 2 for 1 entree coupon from the western timetable book but i don't think i'll go back again. the sauce from the "stew" felt like it came from a big giant vat. it was more barbeque sauce than stew.

thanks for the tips. will come in handy. i wrote the the beginning of this last friday and finished it this afternoon; so i feel fine now. i'm a little exhausted.

i'm running low on the very best bath salts (the ginger one from ruby's) but was thinking of making my own and housing it in those cute but expensive organic milk bottles. i want to make a milk bath one (for said milk bottle) but powdered milk is way expensive.

you and i need to get together and talk panini presses! : )

p.s. williamsonoma.com loves you and your pocketbook.

LOL about my job. It is interesting, but sometimes I feel it is the only thing I talk about. Also sometimes the only interesting thing about it is the evidence that it might lead somewhere which gives me hope... a registry seems like great fun. Ok, off to bed. I'm reading About Schmidt by Louis Begley. It's great.

questions, questions doubleindemnity March 17 2005, 16:10:35 UTC
are you working as an assistant to a book agent or editor? i'm a little hazy with the details. i haven't managed to sort it all just yet. did you go to princeton? and why is aaron leaving?

i don't know much about hoboken. do hipsters really live there?

the registry is all right. it's a little fun thinking about it but sometimes i feel a little guilty because i don't want to come off as greedy. i think it'll be a good way of acquiring much needed appliances. i think we're going to eschew the boring stuff like towels. you can get towels anywhere!

I work as the assistant to a literary agent which I think must be the same as book agent. I went to Princeton and Aaron is going to go to grad school, but I don't know where.

Hoboken is unhipstered...it seems to be a lot of yuppies. I'm not good at explaining populations though...white, professional, boring.

Aleve is excellent, but you might want to snag a couple of bottles of Excedrine Migrane too. That's what I gobble down when I have a migrane and that shit knocks it out in minutes.

I've been sans web for a few days so I'm catching up on everyone's blogs today.... slooooooow day in the store.
