plus, it would surely rule out anyone buying ticket for you? for example, my mum bought my morrissey tickets for me, cos i'd just lost my card. and with your plan, i wouldn't be able to go unless she came too. which'd be crap. and what about tickets as presents?

thing is, I was willing to go through the whole signing up for ID cards bollocks becuase it was glastonbury! Same deal for alot of people...dunno if other festivals could get away with doing it...
I'm sad about V tickets right now, but it's okay, cause we'll get some later when more go on sale.

but yeah...apart from Glastonbury, no other festival would be willing to stop touting. Because it makes no difference to them what happens to the tickets after they've made their money...not just V...but Reading/Leeds and T in the Park etc too...they're all just as corporate as V really...

the lineup this year is so good i think it has probably convinced a lot of people who might never have thought about going there to go (or at least to try to get a ticket, grumble grumble), so the crowd, and hence the atmosphere, might be a lot better than we imagine.
on the other hand, its gonna be shite, and we have done well in saving our money and watching it on tv.
