Pairing: Lily/James
Author: Dr. Fawkes
Disclaimer: Yeah. Yeah. I’m J.K. Rowling, and I’m writing these one-shots because I’ve nothing better to do. And if you believe that, you deserve a special place in Mrs. Norris’s rice bowl.
Other Notes: This is a one-shot in a series called “CURTAIN”. (I wrote this ages ago, but I’m posting it late.)

And what's really amazing about it? The voice of this is so different from the voice of your other writing. And it's equally effective! This is sweet and laid-back, as opposed to your mischief-laded humor, or your poetic tragedy. You tailor your writing style to the need of the work, and few writers can do that.
Where have you been hiding this? Let's have more!
*Laughs* I'm obviously giddy. :)

Its amazing how you can put across the tone of a story in such apt, precise words. "Sweet & laid-back", "poetic tragedy", "mischief-laded humor"....Oh, thanx. Thanx.
I was experimenting with this writing-style...Seems like it worked!

(This most certainly isn't the Mid-Atlantic coastline view from the States...the water'd have to be brown for that.)

It was the main inspiration for my story.

I'm not a writer, but there are times when I've been 'artistically' inspired through a mental picture. You really did a wonderful job putting words to it and the natural secluded feeling.

James always loses himself in her soft silver voice, as if his soul was but a young dream, hovering and somersaulting across the blue sky with its giant wings, merrily chasing the clouds hither and thither.
You have such a gift with words! I'm awfully jealous. I like how James hit the seagull too, because he was looking at his Lily. Very cute ^_^

YOU're jealous of ME? *gasps & faints* Right. Right.

Perhaps the sea is not very pleased, being ignored like this. For it sends a foamy wave lashing at them, washing away James’s doodles in one gigantic sweep. Lily laughs, but James scowls slightly. He doesn’t want the sea to interfere with his calligraphic skills.
That part jumped out at me for some reason. Not sure why.
Overall, though, it had a very flowing and vacation-y feel to it. Just a little break to enjoy the little moments, like throwing apples and rocks. Very nice imagery, too, with the landscape and with the emotional (and the physical, for that matter) ambience. Many, many words that are failing me now, but I loved it! Can't wait for more of this series!
