Huh, what's the difference between being cos, vs. having a cunning plan to be explained in a comment? I guess I'll vote "cos" :)
My plan is not so cunning: Most cards get recycled, but I save some, and have a pretty large stack of those saved ones built up by now. Which is stored away. I rarely ever display any of them, even the ones I choose to save.
basically what he said. I display them and then recycle most of them at the end of the season, or whenever I get around to it, and then save a few. Usually the pictures, I enjoy seeing them every year as people and mostly the kids grow up.
Oh yes, this is the exception. We have some old ones from past years that show our friends' families, and I like to keep those around so I can see their smiling faces all the time.
Same here. Most get recycled after the season, but the ones with pictures, especially of kids, I keep. Non-personal cards, from our insurance agent or whatever, get recycled without display.
I used to just read 'em and toss 'em, but mrf_arch likes to keep them. I enjoy his habit of displaying them all in one place (they're taped to our door right now), but would be fine with trashing them after. If he wants to save them, that's okay too, so long as our grandchildren don't wind up throwing boxes of them away in the distant future.
