Ok. Simple assignment. Come up with a 90 second film to shoot next class and storyboard it. 90 seconds. That's roughly 10 minutes work.

Simple? Apparently not. It seems stupidity is alive and well and thriving in the Austin Community College student body. ( Frothing at the mouth..... )

Your story is an illustration to why creative group projects that involve people who are forced to work together is a recipe for disaster. Perhaps, a little story may give you a little warmth ( ... )

Another tale, although short. Similar situation in high school psychology class. Lazy group, I wanted a good grade. I filmed myself giving a full out hilarious presentation on REM sleep while pretending like I was Ross Perot (This was in '92, after all). The rest of the group didn't have anything worthwhile prepared, and in some cases didn't have ANYTHING done whatsoever ( ... )

I WISH I could do the project by myself...but alas - no such luck for me. These guys WANT to do it, but they won't stick to one idea. It's a freaking 90 second shot to work on camera placement, and they're treating it like it's the thing that will catapult them to stardom.

See, the difference is that Kevin Smith is actually amusing and has something resembling a point. :)

Imagine trying to TEACH people like that....

We had another "session" today and I said, "RIGHT! We're doing THIS..." and the first thing someone said, I drew it out. If someone tried to say, "OR we could have the guy - " I said, "Nope...we've done that part already. NEXT!"

They hate me. But we got it done in 20 minutes.

The shooting, I'm sure, will be a different matter. I'll just bring my whipped cream and kumquats...if anyone starts with the, "Hey! What about..." I'll just dose them and send them to the corner.

And no...I will NOT imagine trying to teach people like that. I've had enough aggrivation for one day, thank you very much.

This one time, at band camp, there was this guy, and he had a light, but no one could tell he had a light, cause he was in a door, and he killed someone, but no one cared, except the janitor, who worked at the school, where this guy wasn't, cause he was at camp, you see, only the janitor wasn't at school right then, cause he volunteered to work at the band camp, where he got angry, cause this guy, he killed somebody, and left a bloody handprint on the wall, which the janitor had to clean up, and it wouldn't come off, so he had to use that new KABOOM stuff, only no one cared, and this filled the janitor with angst, which is best expressed in the form of a haiku...

College students talk
and talk and talk and talk and
only crap comes forth.
