OBLIGATORY CONCERT REPORT

Derek and I got a slightly late start but it ended up working out ok anyway. After the usual goddawful experience of, as soon as we got into Detroit, getting to drive 30 mph on the freeway, we got to Harpo's without any trouble around 7:00.  Once we got there we had to empty our pockets and go through a metal detector, ( Read more... )

obligatory concert reports can't be stopped
It's cool if you had a semi-good time at least... I suddenly remembered the show was going on at about 9:30 or so, but I'm not big into those bands anyway so I didn't go.

wait i thought they played a hellhammer song?? cuz i remember him being like "oh we wrote this back in 1985 when we wer edoing the band hellhammer" but i didn't catch the title plus i haven't followed the band too much.

and oh shit that sound was AWFUL. ic ouldn't hear tony laureno at all during the first half of 1349's set. at least at the end i could tell that he has an amazing blast beat. but i was still disappointed. i heard that the sound at dragonforce wasn't very good either, so harpos should get rid of that lazy piece of shit.

give me a call sometime soon

Only in the last couple of years have more than 50 people in America heard of such a thing as "black metal" so it was interesting to see that it's gaining popularity among kids.

Ehhhh... sorry dude, but that is soooo not true. Trust me. :) Shit like that has been goin on for like the past 10 years or so now.

That fucking sucks, the only song 1349 played that I really like is "Chasing Dragons". Lame.

Fuck, "Circle of Tyrants" and "Into the Crypt of Rays" would be enough for me to go, though. I know I'd be disappointed though, cause I want to see old-school Frost, and that will never happen, obviously. ehehe

I know that BM has been around in America for a long time, but it seems to me that it's been super-underground until just recently.

We've had some rather serious troll problems in there before so they're probably just checking you out to make sure you're not going make 50 posts of beastiality pictures

Dude, I just accepted you -- LJ has decided they don't want to send me notifications about communities anymore. And yeah, the membership thing is only to make sure you're a real person and not a troll LJ. I've seen you around in Nate's journal for a long time, so there are no problems for you on that front.

I haven't spoken to you in quite a while, how have you been?
I saw Celtic Frost and Goatwhore... a shame that Sahg and 1349 had already left back to Norway!
Did you ever receive that Erzebet demo?
Well, if not, you can download it at www.screamalongrecords.com
Demo entitled "...The Onslaught"

I also have a blackmetal project called Av Helvete.

www.myspace.com/avhelvete

and am starting a new one called Selbstmord...
well, nice to see that you're still alive.
Talk to you soon.

p.s Do you have a myspace, by any chance? I don't get on here as much as I used to (Haven't been on here for months).
