There are a lot of reasons to hate Sarah Palin but the way I have seen people going off about her the photo of her on Newsweek is getting me really angry

There are a million things I can criticise Sarah Palin about...Her body hair and wrinkles are not one of them...I'm hoping that it's just a thing that people are making rude remarks about her pic b/c they hate her guts.
But yeah, I have visible hair on my upper lip & chinny chin chin :P (latter is a family trait)...I used to wax the 'stache myself, but I find it hurts WAY TOO MUCH!!!! OMG does it hurt like hell! So I either go to a pro (which is seldom these day) or leave it be...And I only shave my legs in the summer...So y'know...It ain't all that deep.
What does irritate me is when I hear some of my male friends talking about how unattractive a woman is if she goes hairy...I can understand how one may find hairy, funky armpits to be nasty. However, this disgust is more about appearance than hygiene...And half these dudes wouldn't wax their chest & back hair or groom their unibrow, but expect a woman to be smooth & hairless from head to toe...It's like "Where's the trade-off?"

I'm sure that is why most people do it but I really wonder how many of them realize what they sound like. It's such an asshole-ish thing to belittle someone for physical flaws like that too. It's not like having a little extra hair on your body is as appalling as charging rape victims for their rape kits.
And I am so with you about men who complain like that. If it's a hygiene thing, I can understand. Though even then there is a way to be tactful about it. If these men out there want an airbrushed, hairless Playboy bunny type then they can go out and buy themselves a real doll.
It's ridiculous. I don't like her, but that fact has absolutely no link with her appearance. Unfortunately, people in the spotlight have to get used to crap like this. People with low intelligence often result to mocking appearance to try and appear witty.
It would be wonderful if anyone who wanted to belittle her appearance had to post a picture of themselves. I think most of those who do things like that are pretty heavy on the flaws themselves. And we all know no one is free of flaws.

I'd rather spend my energy talking about her politics or lack thereof.

Her politics give us more than enough ammunition to criticize her, I don't see why anyone should need to resort to her appearance.
