There are a lot of reasons to hate Sarah Palin but the way I have seen people going off about her the photo of her on Newsweek is getting me really angry ( Read more... )

I have always been against focusing on Palin's looks. Be it people praising them or not. Can we focus on the stupid things she says.

Also, people are shallow. I have had to learn this the hard way, they are shallow and they are mean. I am pretty sure Palin does not care what they say about her looks and that is how it should be.

The stupid things she says is more than enough to keep people ragging on her until the end of time.

She certainly shouldn't care. No one should care what shallow, vindictive idiots say, but most do to some extent whether we like it or not. Those little jabs stick sometime and it's what keeps women worshipping an industry that keeps telling us we're not and never will be good enough until we look airbrushed.

There are so many many legitimate reasons to hate on Palin, but her looks are completely irrelevant to them. For what it's worth, I actually like those wrinkles - makes her look more real.

It does make her look more real. And even with them she has beautiful skin. I'd love to be able to have a closeup taken of me like that and have my skin look that good.

Not just politicians but everyone. People really need to think more with their brains and less with their eyes.

I really don't care for Palin, this is just a tempest in a teacup though however I want to take you to task for one comment:

"Anyone who would be crass enough to make a comment about her or any woman having a mustache or not being up on her beauty regimen or needing to wax or any kind of comment like that needs a swift kick in the ass. It's obnoxious and it's rude and people should have better manners than that."

Well I've never said to a womans face, but yes Ive said it but every time I've said it said mustache was clearly visible at a distance of 25 feet or more, considerably more just the typical fuzz...so am I deserving of an ass kicking? BTW I actually tend to be more critical of men who neglect to trim their nosehair Dude, you have no mustache and you are looking like Charlie Chaplin, get some trimmers for crying out loud.

You're not going to like me saying this but it's really not your problem if a woman has a serious mustache going, even one "clearly visible at a distance of 25 feet or more."

You're not as crass as or as deserving of a kick in the ass as the man who would say it to her but why should it bother you? If you don't like a woman with a mustache, don't date one, but don't make it out to be a bad thing if a woman doesn't want to get rid of it.

As for men who don't trim their nose hairs, I would see that as more of a hygiene thing, particularly when they have a runny nose. But, no, I don't think anyone should go around saying "damn, you need to trim that" to them either.

Unless some people blow the pic up it is not even evident. I can't stand this woman but certainly to hate her because of that stupid hair is kind of dumb. *Idiots*

Exactly! She's very flawed in her politics and logic, there's no need to go after her appearance.
