Wow. You've rendered me inarticulate.

This was amazing and beautifully crafted. I loved the form of this story with the mirroring sections comparing and contrasting the two men. There is wonderful language in this, and it is clear that you carefully considered every one of the 6 thousand words you wrote. You drew something far more detailed than a character sketch with your words, and managed to tell a story without the limitations of a timeline. And still got that happy ending in without changing the "grey" tone of the story.

I really did choose every word very carefully - it was actually my favorite aspect of this story to write My writing MA was actually in poetry, so I'm more of a poet than a story writer. Writing this story was much like writing a poem in that I had to pick out very precise images and create believable metaphors. I really enjoyed it.

I'm so glad you liked it. Thank you so much for commenting :)

Ok - if this posts twice, I apologize. Something wonky happened... Anyhoo!

So fantastic! And I admit - I was afraid I'd come to the end and think 'oh, those boys will never get their act together' but no!!! You made it work for them and it's so freaking perfect! And, yeah - pretty much perfect in every way. I have hearts in my eyes for this fic!

Hey there!

This was very much a "soul mate" story, and my Harry & Draco are *always* soul mates. I've only written one story (other than my Harry/Scorpius) where they're not - although Draco is obsessed with Harry, so there's that. Otherwise, I'm a hopeless romantic when it comes to H/D. So of course I had to bring them together at the end :)

I love the poetry of this story and the beauty of the evolution of the relationships between the boys. They are the true complements that cannot be without each other. You managed to deliver that in the most wonderful and beautiful way. In short, I love this story! It's pure brilliance!

This is truly wonderful!

I usually like to read smutty, light-hearted pieces, but this gripped my heart something fierce.
The dual viewpoints that are set against each other, both complementing and mirroring each other are very interesting and intriguing.

Also, I'm not one who cries to many things, but two of those lines made me actually tear up.
Harry nurtures the yearning for Light in people whose instincts are Dark, but he’d sell his soul for just one kiss from a Death Eater’s son. and
Draco nurtures the greed for power in the corrupt, but he’d denounce Darkness and give away every cent of his fortune for just one kiss from a Mudblood’s son.

Thank you for the lovely read! And thank you for making a hopeful ending!

You're very welcome!

I had to have a hopeful ending because I was setting them up as the true soul mates they are. Despite (or maybe because of) all their differences, they can't live without each other. The hole in their hearts would be impossible to fill with anything/anyone else. So actually it is light-hearted, well at least as light-hearted as I ever get :)
