i am afraid of silence. in silence i hear trickling noises from the corner of my room/mind/cranium/universe, and i would intentionally knock the chair or the book against the wall, trying to exorcise this uneasiness, or i would hum, or i would hum, or i would hum;

heard the song 'the sound of silence' by simon & garfunkel? in there, the sound of silence was given a different meaning which is meaningful (is there problem with this sentence? ahaha)
a part of the lyrics:
People talking without speaking,
People hearing without listening,
People writing songs that voices never share
And no one deared
Disturb the sound of silence.
