There are a lot of possibilities, but ultimately I have to go with "The Top Gun Anthem" by Harold Faltermeyer.

The bullshit baggage of Top Gun and Tom Cruise aside, it's a song that has a similar composition to your basic traditional movie score, except it's arranged for rock'n'roll instruments. Furthermore, it's not only intended as a kind of heroic thme song, but it also deeply connected with pilots.

While the Star Wars theme would probably be more expected, I actually don't think a song cuold contain more elements of me.

Besides, I don't think there's a single song with lyrics in the entire world that really gets the job done.
