Job hunting continues. Looks like I'm more likely to find a part time job to fit in with my Gallery hours than finding an alternative 30-ish hours/week gig. Ah well. I've put my gym membership on hold and I'm weaning myself off of food. Starving will be less painful this way, I reckon.

I'm still sick! But if I claim (loudly and often) to be getting over it, then it must be true! I went back to work yesterday with dizzy spells, but my fever is pretty much gone. The generic Dayquil/Nyquil is nothing to sneeze at. Unless the sneezing is allergy related.

Walking, talking sack of vitamin C
I'm sick! It sucks. I felt it coming on Sunday and I've been drowning myself in orange juice and V8 Splash and soup ever since. Yesterday I had an awfully irritated throat, a congestion headache, hot and cold flashes, and some mild aches and pains. Possibly a really mild flu. Car update
So I took my tire in to be fixed. Later that same day they called to say that there was a tear in the outer wall of the tire, rendering it useless. Shelling out for a brand new tire was... lame, but it wasn't quite as bad as I might have imagined. I can now competently (and relatively confidently) change a tire on my car. Like the Batmobile
My car is pretty awesome. Somehow, I do a lot of driving. I suspect this is largely related to the fact that I work 13 out of 14 days and it's a 14 mile roundtrip from my apartment. Also there are plenty of 12 mile roundtrips back to the house (though I usually try to tie that in with a workday since the house is only some 5 miles from work. ( Read more... ) -

I know I've mentioned it before, but Catch-22 is truly one of my favorite books. I've only just re-read it, but it's still pretty fantastic. And horrifying. And maybe it says something about me (or my sense of humor) that I think it's one of the funniest things ever.
