My opinion on the "job" of Event Steward (Autocrat)
An autocrat is a "project manager". You build a team, you make sure they are doing what they are supposed to, you handle the infrastructure of the "project". If an autocrat does it "right" (my version of right admittedly) and the unthinkable happens and they cannot get to the event (personal emergency of some sort), the event will still run as ( Read more... ) -

Getting Ready for GNEW
Yes, I know GNEW is already happening...but I mean getting my husband ready for GNEW. Cosmano has a crossbow (yes I know it sounds like the title of a childrens' book ;) ) and no matched set of bolts to shoot. So I went into production Wednesday evening.

Peanuts....
I'm one of those crazy ladies who feeds anything that wanders by with four legs...well almost. I have raccoons, skunks, groundhogs and squirrels that come to the yard and drink from the pond so I sometimes throw out peanuts for them ( Read more... )
